This is the original Concord<\/i> bass. This happened while Gary was traveling to Copenhagen, where he won the award for Best Tone at the ISB. He had left specific instructions for a bass to be made\u2014the first Prescott copy, which we now call the Concord<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Some geometries were missed along the way. The lower bouts didn\u2019t get wide enough, and the upper bouts ended up a bit too wide, resulting in a bass that\u2019s very square in shape. Despite these imperfections, it\u2019s a fun bass, featuring a removable neck and a cool character all its own.<\/p>\n
This bass has found its place in the Upton Bass rental and loaner pool, often called upon when a player needs something reliable for a performance or practice session.
