Upton Bass SuperSwing<\/em> Hawkes Hybrid Double Bass, 2007<\/h1>\n

This Upton Bass Superswing is a rare hybrid version (most were fully laminated) of our popular blonde tribute made in the early aughts.\u00a0 These instruments have the robust “Hawkes” pattern and really push a lot of air – with woods carefully selected for the ultra-revealing blonde varnish.\u00a0 Makes a striking companion for any roots music gig, with all of the Upton playability, hybrid tone and around 20 decibels more bass than a Kay!<\/p>\n

Upton Bass SuperSwing Opus 56 Hybrid – very few were made, and sometimes years pass between these becoming available used.<\/p>\n

This one owner instrument never left the house and is in mint condition.<\/p>\n

We estimate this bass would cost about $8,000 to build today in our current styles…and that’s assuming we’d even say yes to a blonde, which we haven’t done in YEARS!<\/p>\n
